God Has Made a Way
God will make a way when there seems to be no way:
He works in ways you cannot see. He will make a way for me.
He will be my guide, hold me closely to His side,
He works in ways I cannot see and He will make a way for me.
Now after my second infusion of some wonder drug that is immunotherapy for my now-confirmed melanoma which has metastasized, I am still couched in the strange Christian phenomenon that we refer to as 'the peace that passes understanding'.
Almost none of the dreaded side effects have occurred so far; tightness in the chest -- very uncomfortable -- was immediately conquered by Nurse Lisa's full on attack with some magical steroid, and nothing else has arisen.
The steroid amazingly made my Parkinson's symptoms disappear and for the first time in YEARS I feel NORMAL!! I don't know how long that will last but I love it!
Kaiser has been incredibly efficient, kind, and comforting. Thank you, Kaiser Fresno.
And I thank God for Kaiser, its staff from bottom to top in the medical profession -- desks to guerneys to infusion rooms to CT scans, surgeries, ER and all the rest. And while I'm at it: thank you, USA, for Medicare, Social Security and AAA's DMV desk.
In the midst of what has become, between Michael and myself, our almost daily trips to Kaiser for this or that, my handicap parking placard lapsed and I did not update my change of address in time for the renewed placard to be sent to my current address. I tried to request a new placard at dmv.gov.ca but got nowhere. Then recalled that the local AAA has a DMV desk so we stopped in there last week. To my surprised joy, we left about 15 minutes later with a new 2-year placard. And were told that the missent placard had been returned to the DMV -- so all is well on that front!
So all is well for us this Saturday, July 8, 2023. Thanks to the One Who Reigns Forever.
